This round plate comes in a flat design with edged lip and a natural earth like glaze, and unglazed exterior. A perfect addition to your dinning table to be used as a larger plate for serving up main meals.
Shigaraki is located in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, and is recognised as playing a significant part in the long history of Japanese ceramics. It is included as one of Japan’s six old kilns – being said to have a history of 1260 years. In 1976 Shigaraki-yaki (Shigaraki ware) was designated as a traditional craft in Japan.
Hechimon is a collection of Japanese ceramics by a third-generation Shigaraki-yaki maker, Marui Seito.
Also available in an olive glaze, and sizes small and medium.

Measurements: approximately 24.5cm x 24.5cm x H1.5cm
Glazed ceramic.
Colour: Natural (lighter beige to a beige-ish brown)
Made in Japan.
Care: Not dishwasher safe, hand wash after use and dry before storing away.
Please note the glaze can differ between a lighter beige to a beige-ish brown (please refer to photographs for variance in glaze colour).
